Best Bet Promotions is Back!!

Hey guys whats up!? I don't know if many of you have noticed but bestbetpromos.com is GONE! I decided that it was too much to keep up. I decided to go with a blog instead. It's easier for me to log on too and post on! I lost everything that I had on the site so I'm sifting thru my files to find all the interviews that were on the site. I have posted 2 interviews so far with Jonnie and Brookie and Blackout 101. Make sure you check out the interviews we have on myspace.com/bestbetpromo.

Just a little update on me. I now live in Orlando Florida working at Disney World on the College Program until January! I won't be going to as many concerts as I did when I lived in Texas but I'm going to try. The next concert I'm attending is Push Play/Katelyn Tarver/Phil Benson! I'm So excited. I finally saw Katelyn Tarver at Joey Page's concert last month! I have been following her since she was on American Juniors 5 years ago! She was amazing! I am gonna post a couple videos from the concert soon. I'm gonna try my hardest to keep up to date but give me some time cuz I work so much it's tough! haha. Thanks everyone for the support on the site! Its almost been a year with Best Bet Promotions! So exciting!

Interview with Blackout 101 (Originally April 4th 08)

Hey Guys! Introduce yourselves!
We're Blackout 101, Chris: Vocals and Guitar ; Dakota: Bass and Vocals; George: Drums
You guys are so young! When did you form your band?
I (Chris) formed blackout in the Spring of 2005 when I was Ten.

What made you guys want to be in a band?
Watching the movie school of rock was probably my biggest influence.

Who are your inspirations and why?
Taking Back Sunday, blink-182, Green Day, Chiodos, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Hot Hot Heat etc. ...

What do you like most about performing?
Everything from playing our instruments to experiencing the crowds reaction and performing the songs we write and love.

What are you favorite bands/singers?
Same as our influences
If you had the chance to share the stage with anyone who would it be?
Green Day because they're a band we all love and the exposure would be incredible

We noticed you are doing some shows in England, What are you looking forward to most about that?
Everything! This is going to be the band's third time in England and each time we have more fun and more fun! The shows are great and the kids there are so nice and fun to hang out with.

You have alot of friends on your myspace! What age group is your music aimed towards?
Well, it's intended for all to listen to, but I'd say our biggest audience is Kids anywhere from 11-16.

How do you guys balance school with being in the band and doing shows?
Well most of the shows are on the weekend so it doesn't conflict that much, but on Weeknight shows we usually stay up pretty late and in England for instance, there's obviously going to be some school missed.

What was the difference between the first show you guys played together compared to the most recent show?
Well at the first show (3 years ago) we kinda sucked hahaha... but we were good for ten year olds haha.

What can we look forward to from Blackout 101 this year?
Just keep looking...
What do you have to say to you fans and supporters?
We love you alll! thank you so much for your support!

Interview with Jonnie and Brookie (Originally done June 18th 08)

Hey girls! Lets start off with you introducing yourselves and tell us how old you are!
I'm Jonnie and I am 16 and I'm Brookie and I'm 14.

We read that you have been touring over the US for over 7 years! How did you get started in mucic and becoming a duo?
When we were 3 and 5 we started singing in a group in our town. Once we decided it was what we really wanted to do, we broke off and started performing on our own!

Whats it like performing for a big audience of children, knowing that you are showing them a positive influence?
It is an amazing feeling knowing that we are inspiring kids by doing what we love and that we can influence them in any way!

Are you still on the "Kids CAN Make a Diffence" Tour? If not, how was that tour and is so, how is going so far?
Yes we are still continuing our Kids CAN Make a Difference Tour. Right now we have raised over 92,000 cans of food. We are so close to making our goal and want to say thanks to everyone who has helped us get there!

We think it's amazing that you girls have written 3 childrens books! Could you tell us what they are about?
We wrote these books with our mom when we were little and they are about adventures that "Jonnie and Brookie" go on! They also teach lessons in it like appreciating what you have, etc.

Who are your inspirations and why?
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is our biggest inspiration. He has blessed us with so much and we want to give back to him with our singing.
Our musical inspirations are actually a lot of the teenage bands that are siblings. We really look up to people like Aly and AJ, Everlife and Jonas Brothers while performing or writing music!

We noticed you girls play guitar. Do you play the insturments while you perform?
Yes we do! We play guitar, piano and Brookie plays bass!

Who would you like to share the stage with in the future?
There are so many amazing artist out there we would love to share the stage with! On big one is of course the Jonas Brothers! We also want to someday perform with Aly and AJ.
What is the perks about being a duo as compared to being a solo artists?
Being a duo you always have each other to rely on. We can always look to each other whenever we mess up or need help on stage! And it is also sooooo much fun being able to perform on stage as sisters!
What can we excpect to see from you in the next year?
In the next year we are going to be on the road a lot with a band called Mission Six. We also are releasing our newest all original cd. We hope we can see alot of our fans in the next year and meet a lot of new ones!
What do you have to say to all your fans and supporters?
Thank you so much for all your support! It means so much to us its hard to even explain! We would be no where with out all the support of everyone one of you and we hope we can meet all of you really soon. Thanks so much and God bless!
