GRO CD Listening party!

Heyo everyone!



Last night I went to a CD Listening party for Green River Ordinance! It was Embargo in Ft Worth. Very nice place if I do say so myself! haha. ANYWHO. They played their album which sounded AWESOME. They then played an acoustic set. In my experience, I have noticed that many times, full bands sound great and when they go to stripped down acoustic, they don't sound as great. NOT the case with GRO. Their acoustic show was AWESOME! It was the first time Simone had heard them live and she LOOOOVE them! I have a couple videos I will upload tonight or tomorrow from the show! The party was fun! They had a photoshoot thing set up and they wanted people to take pictures. Me and Simone ended up standing there and and telling people to come take pics with us! It was really fun! Before we left I made the photographer give me his camera and get in the shots! There is a very cool pic of him and Simone! haha. I'm hoping they did alot of pre-sales at their show. I bought 2 =)

Everyone needs to go HERE and pre-order their CD. We have to help them sell so many CD's in their first week that it knocks the label off their feet! They really deserve it so help them out! It's a deal to buy 2 so just buy 2 =)

Overall, they did an amazing job at their party and it went over really well. I can't wait to see what happens next with these guys! Make sure you go to their Myspace and check out their tour dates! Go to a show if they are in your area!

THE ROCK BOAT IX

Hey Everyone! I am freshly off the BEST CRUISE EVER! It's called The Rock Boat! The cruise took place January 17th-22nd! We left out of Miami and Stopped in Nassau! It was 5 straight days of music! I was on a mission to check out as many bands as possible! Here is a list of performers from the cruise!

I put stars next to who I was able to see. Some of them I only got see one or two songs performed by them. I'm not sure if thats the whole list..it seems short haha.

Anywho! I went on the cruise only knowing who Hanson and Sister Hazel were but came off the cruise LOVING every band that I heard. They did an AMAZING job of choosing the performers! Every day they had concerts 3 stages..sometimes 4 haha. It was fun trying to plan out which show you were going to see and for how long! Cowboy Mouth started off the entire cruise by playing an amazing set on the Lido Deck. The Lido deck show's seemed to be the most fun in my opinion. It's really hard for me to summarize the whole cruise. There was just so much going on! I guess I'll skip to the end. Sister Hazel put on a GREAT final concert! They invited up different bands to come on the stage and play with them. It was really a great end to the cruise. There is just so much that happened inbetween all that but I think there is too much to write in a blog haha!

Green River Ordinance and Wideawake are from my home state of TEXAS.
You should go look all the bands up on myspace and listen to their music! You will NOT be disappointed!
